Phlebotomy, Option 1
with Academy of Medical Professions
Become Nationally Certified in 10 weeks as a Phlebotomy Technician. This course is all-inclusive and prepares you for national certification with live classes via Zoom and in-person skills labs. You will be able to perform basic phlebotomy procedures, evaluate patients for ability to withstand venipuncture procedure, explain the procedure and answer patient questions, perform basic point of care testing, such as blood glucose levels on patients, prepare blood, urine, and other body fluid speciments for testing according to extablished standards. The class fee of $3,500 includes Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) national certification through NHA, books, resume and job assistance.

Suicide Prevention Workshop
with Walter Boomsma
This 2-hour awareness session will bring you into compliance with LD 609 requiring all Maine school employees to have basic suicide prevention education. This program is designed to raise awareness about suicide risk factors and warning signs and provide information on what practical steps to take if suicide is suspected. Students who attend say they feel much more confident and comfortable talking about suicide.

A practice that will involve a series of slow, rhythmic movements and physical postures, meditation, controlled breathing, stretching and strength for the mind and body!
Stress Reduction and Relaxation w/Hatha Yoga

This 60-minute Yoga class will provide sequences that calms the nervous system along with stretching/warming the muscles and preparing the mind to rest. Breathing techniques, short meditation and positive affirmations will end the practice.
Adulting 102: Money Grows

Telehealth- Connecting with your Healthcare Provider from Home

In this class we will look at how you can connect with your healthcare provider from the comfort of your own home. Telehealth is the new Home Visit, allowing healthcare providers to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, whether it’s for check ups, consultations, or a follow-up appointment. We will discuss the process; from setting up your initial appointment, what to expect, insurance and patient portals to community resources.
